Royalty Information

Whether or not admission is charged, a ten dollar royalty is due any time all or part of a play is performed in front of any size audience. This includes school assemblies and audience-attended dress rehearsals. If no audience of any size watches your play, no royalty is due. Distributing a script in any way is illegal unless you have purchased the ten dollar Duplication fee. Charles Robertson allows gender changes to his scripts. Scripts can be edited to adapt to the number of kids. Adding or cutting lines to accommodate your time constraints is also quite possible as long as it does not change the intent of the playwright in any way. Under no circumstances does making changes to the script exempt you from paying full royalties and properly crediting the playwright, Charles Robertson. You only need to purchase one script and one duplication fee for one performance or multiple performances of each play. You can photocopy or email as many scripts as you like for cast and crew
